Born as Elise Claire Gipson on October 9th, 1985 to her parents Diana Thompson and Mark Gipson in San Jose, California. Elise grew up in both East and South San Francisco Bay Areas of California. 

Her parents divorced and soon remarried when Elise was still a baby girl. 

 

Elise’s personal influences for her love of music came from her Mother, Diana who was an actress and Violinist;

Her Grandfather, Don Gipson who had the voice to teach her all she knows in music, and she has many famous influences are Christina Aguliara, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Leann Rimes, Amy Lee, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Selena, Brandy, Monica, Pat Benatar, Lisa Marie Presley... there are too many for her to count... lol!

Elise attended California High School in San Ramon, California, and Del Amigo High School where she graduated in 2003. She also attended Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California in 2004 maj;oring in Music.

There she met an amazing musician and composer in her songwriting class; Sebastien Najand.

They dated for a short time, but time made them better friends.

He helped her by producing her first demo album, as well as wrote some of the music himself. 

 

 In an interview, Elise had mentioned that Sebastien was a very big inspiration in her music career, then said that even though they parted ways, she wanted to thank him by becoming the star he believed her to be. .

Sebastien moved to Los Angeles, California after college to pursue his career in music as well, He has done music composing for films, games and recently has producing music for K*POP!  

 

In 2007 at the age of 21, Elise became engaged and married to Corey Wharton from San Ramon, California.

March 3rd, 2008, they were wed and she took his last name as Elise Claire Wharton. Not long after, Elise and her new husband had their first child, a son; Alexander James Wharton. When their son was still a baby, they moved to Washington State to start their new life with there new little family. 

Elise gave birth to a little girl; Alana Belle Wharton, on August 14th 2009,

she then attended Gene Juarez Academy in Seattle, Washington and recieved her certificate and licence in Cosmetology in August 2011. On December 2nd, 2011, Elise gave birth to the final addition to her family, another little girl; Allison Claire Wharton.

2021 was a Disaster of a year for everyone in COVID. 

Elise's marriage of 14 years also ended; (mutually...) 

 

in April of 2008, Elise was contacted by an Independent Music Label producer; Christopher Fauntleroy of Nu-Lyfe Music, Inc. in New York. 

He became an amazing friend and was able to work remotely with Elise while she was busy at home with motherhood and music. 
Due to her new producer's medical complications, and busy life schedules, he was not able to get her recorded right away, yet they still worked on many songs together throughout the years. Christopher was able to get her out to New York to record her first single in 2013, Always You & I. The song is a cover of the boy band '98 Degrees'. 

A few months later, Christopher's health went into a downward spiral, and unfortunately lost his battle with cancer in 2014. He passed away, and the Nu-Lyfe Music, Inc. label died with him.

Elise's music career was put on hold by grief and continuing on with motherhood, focusing on family.

Elise gave birth to a little girl; Alana Belle Wharton, on August 14th, 2009. Elise's marriage of 14 years also ended; mutually. All is Good.

In February 2022, Elise signed with a new music producer, Jesse James Allen, under his music label, Tha Dynasty in Tacoma, Washington.
Her stage name will be changing from Elise Claire to KASIA KLAIRE.
